About

This website is intended to provide you with all the information you need about a local area in England & Wales, especially when it comes to moving house. Although there are websites with similar information, these tended to be based on commercial profiles such as ACORN that are designed as marketing tools for companies to target their products/advertising.

The information on this website is based on the Census carried out by National Statistics in 2001 and updated recently in 2003/2004. It paints a very accurate picture of the profile for a neighbourhood based on facts provided by the people who actually live there. Although the information is available on National Statistics website, we have made it user friendly and also added some extra useful information.

The Department for Children, Schools, and Families (DCSF) provide performance tables for schools in England & Wales. From this website you can view all the school results for any selected area and also see the results for the nearest schools to a full postcode.

Good public transport links are quite important in the UK, especially for commuters. On this website you can see the distance to the nearest train stations (and tube stations in Greater London). You can also search for businesses or companies using an integrated search provided by ©Google Local.

This website also provides a summary of the latest house prices in the Local Authority courtesy of the Land Registry. This shows the average property prices for houses (detached, semi-detached, terraced) and flats in the area. The council tax rates are also displayed here.

Property listings are provided by Nestoria.
